As a group of 8 females travelling together, we provided a challenge for all our tour guides during our trip through Vietnam. Mr Ruby embraced the challenge and provided us with an unforgettable 4 days around Hanoi and Halong Bay. Not only was he organised and courteous, his wealth of knowledge in history and culture, Vietnamese and otherwise, was astounding. The trip was made so much more memorable by his anecdotes and insights, and we were very sad to leave him behind in Hanoi. We’d like to thank Ruby for making our trip go so smoothly. Getting 12 people to move on time isn’t an easy job, but a piece of cake for Ruby. Always a cheerful smile first thing in the morning no matter if it were 5:30 am (waking up in an overnight train).
Half way through our organised trip, we decided to change our plans. Ruby immediately had a number of options for us. When we’d decided what we wanted to do, a few phone calls later and Ruby had pretty much everything sorted out. Pretty cool.
The trip overall was great fun and varied - from the luxury of a tourist junk in Ha long bay to the more basic “homestay” of Sapa.
So thanks Ruby for helping to make it one very memorable and enjoyable trip.

In Halong Bay, we were given more variety than expected and the chefs never failed to amaze us with the type of meals and decorations created from our boat.
