Japan helps design national history museum
A contract on consultancy services for construction investment and design of the National History Museum was signed in Hanoi on Jan. 5 between the project management unit (PMU) and Japan’s Nikken Sekkei. The important project would contribute to strengthening friendship between Vietnam and Japan, Nikken Sekkei executive manager Akihico Hamada said at the signing ceremony. According to Japanese executive manager, his company will use solar energy to mitigate carbon dioxide and propose applying the world’s most advanced technology for the project. The national history museum building project was approved by the Prime Minister in December 2006, and assigned to the Ministry of Construction as the main investor. The museum will be located in the Friendship Park in Xuan Dinh and Co Nhue communes of Tu Liem district, Hanoi.
